If you happened to be looking at DriveBC's cameras on Sunday, you might have caught a glimpse of a real-life RCMP investigation.

The Needles Ferry webcam caught the scene as RCMP divers began retrieving a truck from the water about 12:45 p.m.

There is no word on how long it may have been in the water before it was spotted by a ferry worker.

Nakusp RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are now investigating after the body of a deceased man was pulled from the submerged vehicle in Arrow Lake.

A yellow 2004 Ford F-150 extended cab pickup was recovered from the lake.

The body was that of a man in his late sixties, says Cpl. Jamie Moffat.

"Although the investigation is in its early stages, RCMP do not suspect criminality was involved in the individual’s death at this time," said Moffat.

Police tell Castanet there were no witnesses to the incident and police are unable to determine how long the vehicle had been in the lake.
