It's always worth perusing Jeff Vinnick's Behind the Lens photo galleries during road trips. There are some great shots, and the odd rare treasure like this.
I'm not sure I've seen anyone serve themselves dinner in a mopier fashion than Loui Eriksson is doing here. What the heck is the problem, Loui? Maybe no one else would go up to the buffet table with him. Maybe it's the fact that his mustache gives his face sadly dramatic oomph. Or perhaps Loui is coming to grips with some deep, dark, spaghetti-related trauma from his childhood. His tumultuous pasta past.
In any event, I find this photo odd.
I briefly stepped out of my toastshopping wheelhouse and tried to imagine where else in the world this sad spaghetti scooper might find himself.
Being denied a fist bump by Nicholas Cage, perhaps?
Delivering a knockout punch in a polo shirt?
Discovering his favourite t-shirt has shrunk in the wash?
Blowing off steam at the jazz club?
