Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is reporting another school in Vancouver has had a potential coronavirus (COVID-19) exposure.
The possible exposure happened over the period of a week at Lord Roberts Elementary School in Vancouver's West End. Students and staff at the school, located at 1100 Bidwell St., may have been exposed to the coronavirus from Oct. 18 to 25.
The health authority issues notices about potential exposure events when there is an increased risk of ongoing transmission of COVID-19.
"If you have not been directly contacted by Public Health, please keep your student in class. Children and youth continue to be at low risk for serious outcomes from COVID-19, but research has shown missing school impacts mental health, social connection and learning outcomes," states VCH on thier website.
Some cases don't result in notices if the health authority doesn't believe the infected person infected others.
VCH doesn't state whether the person at Lord Roberts was a staff member or student.
This is the fourth time such a notification has been issued by Vancouver Coastal Health this school year for a school located in the City of Vancouver.
