Employee at a Vancouver McDonald's location tests positive for COVID-19

Currently, McDonald's Canada is listing 13 restaurants in British Columbia with infected employees.

An employee at the big McDonald's location at 1527 Main St in Vancouver, near Terminal Ave, has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

A worker at a McDonald's location in Vancouver has recently been confirmed as having the coronavirus (COVID-19).

McDonald's Canada posted the new case to its online tracker, indicating the following affected restaurant in the region:

  • 1527 Main St., Vancouver: Last day the restaurant employee worked was February 28, 2021.

This McDonald's location is not considered a public exposure risk by Vancouver Coastal Health.

The fast-food giant also reported a case on March 1 involving a restaurant employee in Kamloops, B.C.

Currently, McDonald's Canada is listing 13 restaurants in British Columbia with infected employees.

McDonald's Canada says it has "maintained a commitment to remain transparent in our communications, so that restaurant employees and guests are informed and can contact their local public health authorities for directions, if needed."

"For any guests who may have visited the restaurant and have questions, please take directions from your local public health experts," says McDonald's Canada.
