A used car dealership in Vancouver has been shut down by WorkSafeBC after the business reported employee COVID-19 cases

A Vancouver car dealership is temporarily closed after WorkSafeBC shut down the business due to the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases tied to the workplace.

Brian Jessel BMW Pre-Owned, at 1515 Boundary Road,  was closed down April 21, according to Vancouver Coastal Health.

Local health authorities are required to post workplace closures due to COVID-19 case volume; the closure can be ordered by WorkSafeBC or the health authority under current public health guidelines.

The dealership has posted notice of its temporary closure on its website, noting WorkSafeBC triggered the shutdown after the business notified them that staff members tested positive for the virus.

Closures typically last 10 days, however, a re-opening date is determined by public health and WorkSafeBC.
