Studies show learning how to write by hand is a critical skill that helps children become more independent and confident learners. To that end, the team at BIC are rallying Canadian parents to become “Handwriting Heroes” and join the company’s Fight for Your Write movement to make handwriting part of their child’s daily life. The campaign includes weekly handwriting challenges found at BICFightForYourWrite.ca. For every submission, BIC will donate $10 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. BIC also sent the Courier a small backpack filled with a variety of pens, markers and highlighters, which will go to the 10th person to email us using the subject head Fight for Your Write at [email protected]. The gift pack also includes a pair of tickets to the Whitecaps versus Seattle Sounders game Sept. 5, compliments of the Courier.
