Chef David Hawksworth has revealed the location of his second restaurant, slated to open late-2015. The space at the MNP Tower ay 1021 West Hastings St. will feature an interior designed by Alessandro Munge, of Munge Leung, which was responsible for the design at Hawksworth Restaurant. The 120-seat space will feature waterfront views and a “laid-back” atmosphere.
The Parker vegetarian restaurant has new executive chef. Felix Zhou, a Vancouver local, has previously worked at the Michelin-starred La Chapelle in London, as well as locally at West under chefs David Hawksworth and Warren Geraghty. Most recently, he was executive sous chef at Whistler’s Nita Lake Lodge. This is Zhou’s first executive position and he has launched an all-new menu at the restaurant. TheParkerVancouver.com
The upcoming season of Chopped Canada on Food Network will feature Vancouver’s own Daryle Ryo Nagata, co-owner of Seventeen89 in the West End. The new season premieres on January 10.
