Loblaws City Market has opened at 3185 Arbutus, in the old Ridge Theatre (and later Meinhardt’s) location. The 21,000 square foot location features a fresh juice station, a T&T sushi bar, a 10-foot-high cheese wall with 300 varieties of cheese from around the world, a patisserie, and grab-and-go meals.
Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar will be offering a special Christmas Day service, with both brunch and dinner four-course menus, each for $85 per person. Brunch items include crème brulée French toast, clam chowder, crispy chicken wings and the Korean fried chicken rice bowl. Dinner highlights include porchetta, caramelized scallop, slow-roasted turkey, beef cheek papardelle, and more.
Bauhaus is offering a holiday goose prix fixe menu for four people. Library Square public house and Parallel 49 Brewing Company have partnered to create the “12 Taps of Christmas.” The Advent calendar-style event will see a different surprise beer being featured every odd day in December until Christmas, with pints going for $5.
