The newest location of the much-beloved Bella Gelateria opens this week, offering Vancouverites another opportunity to dip their spoons in some of owner and resident gelato master James Coleridge's amazing concoctions.
Bella Gelateria Yaletown opened its doors for a sneak preview on Wednesday night, ahead of its official opening today (Thursday, Aug. 28). The new location offers everything Vancouverites have grown to love about Bella's original Coal Harbour shop (where lineups on hot summer days can last an hour) and a whole lot more.
In addition to the delicious gelato made with all natural ingredients, the new Yaletown location also features wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, as well as gelatinis, an intoxicating combination of spirits and gelato.
There's little wonder why Coleridge was named International Gelato Master of the Year in 2014 by the International Fair of Artisan Gelato.
The new space along Marinaside Crescent is steps from the seawall with views looking out over False Creek. The chic 2,482-square-foot space features marble and contemporary furnishings throughout, and will no doubt suit the well-heeled Yaletown locals.
Bella Gelateria Yaletown will also be the first gelato shop in North America to partner with Italy’s Carpigiani Gelato University, offering an advanced internship program for aspiring gelatieres.
Prices for gelato range from $6 and up, while Coleridge's gelatinis start at $12. For those looking a sit-down meal, appetizers range from $10-$15, with pizzas priced from $10-$20.
The restaurant also offers brunch from 9am to 2pm on weekends, ranging from $12-14.
