Vancouver's newest five-star restaurant opened its doors Thursday night with a splash, showcasing a stunning dining space and expertly executed dishes.
Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, located at the Sutton Place Hotel on Burrard, saw hundreds of VIPs in attendance, hungry to partake in the delicious cocktails, live music, and of course, the food.
Both the design of the sparkling dining space and the menu pay tribute to the golden age of fine dining, but with a modern twist.
The 290-seat restaurant includes a variety of dining options, including the stylish dining room, seated oyster bar, a craft-cocktail and champagne bar, a vintage-style lounge, private dining room, and an expansive wrap-around patio.
Executive Chef Alex Chen aims to "redefine the fine art of dining with subtle, unexpected, and playful approaches to cuisine, service, and style."
The menu, naturally, features a plethora of seafood options ranging from table-side ahi tuna tartare to the $90 seafood tower for four, with wild sidestripe shrimp ceviche, albacore tuna poke, Read Island mussel escabèche, Dungeness crab Louie, snow crab legs, wild shrimp, and local oysters. If you want the poached and chilled lobster tail, that's extra.
It's not all seafood of course, with a selection of locally sourced proteins and pasta dishes also available.
Starters range in price from $8 to $19, while main courses fall between $18 for the signature burger and $46 for the grilled beef ribeye.
Boulevard also features a breakfast and lunch menu with numerous options under the $25-mark.
