Well, this is a neat idea’r. The BC Craft Brewers Guild has launched its new guild-branded collaborative beer series with the Maiden Voyage Cedar Aged Pale Ale.
The beer is collaboration between Central City Brewers + Distillers and Four Winds Brewing, and is the first in a series that will see the guild coordinating four collaborations per year – one per season – with different BC craft breweries.
“Our goal is to showcase the sense of community that occurs everyday between BC craft brewers,” says Ken Beattie, the guild’s executive director. “We are asking our long time members to collaborate with our newest members to create an exclusive limited release beer.”
According to a press release, the beer is well hopped and has been aged with the “finest cedar, leaving an intense aroma.” It’s available now in private liquor stores across the province in 650ml bottles.
No word yet on who’ll collaborate on the next beer, but it’s due in the spring.
