Hankering for home-cooked meals? Dinnrtime (formerly known as RightOvers) is a social impact startup promoting better access to home-cooked food and is aimed at reducing food waste and increasing sustainable dining across the city. The program’s goal is to connect home cooks with people looking for home cooked meals. On Sept. 4 at 6pm, Dinnrtime will host home cooks and anyone interested in the program at the Meccanica presentation centre for a night of food and wine. Cressey.com

Food for the soul… On Saturday, Aug. 30, folk-pop band Us The Duo will perform at Tofino’s Wolf in the Fog restaurant. Tickets are $50 per person and include a multi-course dinner prepared by chef Nick Nutting. Doors open at 5pm and tickets are first come-first serve. WolfInTheFog.com
