The two evenings will feature the cuisine of African-Canadian chef, Victor Bongo. Tickets are $115 and available at SwallowTail.ca. When ticket purchasers enter the password gchef theyll receive $10 off and Swallow Tail will donate $15 to Growing Chefs, which gets kids excited about healthy foods.

Marquis Wines is hosting an Okanagan Crush Pad tasting with Alberto Antonini on Dec. 19 from 7 to 9pm. The tasting will start with a short introduction on the vision they share to craft wines that express a sense of place, and will follow with a walk around tasting. Its $20 per person, with proceeds going to a local charity. Call 604-684-0445 to reserve.

The Signature Tasting Room of the 39th and Cambie BC Liquor Store is hosting Sparkle & Ice, a holiday-themed tasting event on December 21 from 2 to 6pm. There will be canapés, glasses of Stellers Jay Brut along with Inniskillin Icewine, and the Armadillo String Quartet to set the holiday mood.
