Nude-looking makeup is a perennial on runways, but this season, it’s been everywhere.
Perhaps this is due, in part, to the Alicia Keys effect. The 36-year-old singer ditched lipstick, powder and paint in 2016, saying she wanted to look real and raw.
It’s all very well swearing off slap if you have Keys’ complexion and confidence; but, for many women, going makeup-free is daunting – we have zits, unevenness, pigmentation, redness, dark circles and the rest. She says getting the look might sound complex, but it’s actually a 15-minute job, including skincare.
“Once you get into a routine it becomes second nature. The more you do it, the better you get and the quicker you are out the door looking fabulous!”
Here are her tips and product suggestions for getting the look.
