Take-Off Fridays at YVR

Families will find Vancouvers International Airport a different place indeed. No longer do you have to dread the long wait before your flight on Fridays in August. Enjoy VYR mascots, dancing to music, face painting and free samples (treats, sweets and beverages), live DJs with lots of free entertainment, including live acrobats, local musicians, artists, a caricaturist, a balloonist, popular air side demonstrations, not to mention the $10 lunch specials.

For travellers to the US, on Fridays during the festival times, there are additional activities in the USA departures area. You can check out airfield action up close with telescopes, discover Sea Island through an interactive model and learn all sorts of interesting facts about YVR, the history of flight in B.C. and all things aviation-related.
