Where do you get your style inspiration?
What I see in my travels around the world does inspire my collections but ones style...Well, that comes from with in.
Describe your style: I am a woman of many personalities and am not afraid to show this through my choice of daily outfits. Sometimes I like to be serious, sometimes glamorous, sometimes a little bit rockstar-ish, some times simple and elegant but mostly I like to mix things up and never keep things stagnant.
Where are you from? I am born a Canadian and my nationality is French and Croatian.
What do you like to do for fun? I volunteer my time to many associations that empower women: Women in Leadership, Dress for Success, Minerva, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs.
What are your passions? Besides my business, which we have built over the past 25 years, my two young, adult daughters and my life partner.
Proudest accomplishment? Creating a successful fashion brand and paving the way for young fashion designers in a city where fashion is just emerging and is extremely challenging.

Whats in your purse at this very moment (and what kind of purse is it)? It is a Longchamp brown, small pouch bag with leather handles very Parisian and preppy.
Describe your personal power outfit: Last season my JAC collection has a great pair of zipper pants that made me feel strong and edgy. Hair, boy short. Shoes, wedge or platform.
Where do you shop for everyday staples? I never really shop for staples. I usually wear Jacqueline Conoir and JAC but if I do buy something else, it is usually on one of my fabric buying trips to Europe.
Dream splurge item: A Gucci bag four years ago.
Fashion pet peeve youd love to correct:
Fashion rules are my biggest pet peeve (i.e. Do not wear off-white after the September long weekend).This is so not right.
International style city: Forte di Marmi in Italy.
A recent time that you cried and why? I made mistake on my daughters airline ticket. She almost was not going to be able to fly from Paris to join in on our family vacation.
Whats your style/beauty life saver? Be happy because today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Finish this sentence: Even on my blah-est day, I wont leave the house without: My high heels.
If you could have coffee with a fashion icon, past or present, who and why? I think it would be Coco Chanel. She started from nothing and created an empire. Of course it was during a time when clothing was becoming fashion, and what amazes me is that she was able to build a powerhouse during a time when women supposedly were unable to accomplish much outside of the household.
