ChocolaTas has released a new line-up of fall flavours in time for BC Craft Beer Month. New chocolates include two hops-infused varieties, a dark chocolate ganache and a lime-infused caramel. As well, there is a four-spice (pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger) with hazelnuts, pumpkin bourbon pecan, apple-cinnamon ganache, and a pure orange infusion. Chocolatas.com

WildTale has launched a series of Sunday Lobster Suppers, which include seafood chowder with fresh-baked rolls, steamed PEI mussels, green salad, coleslaw and potato salad, and fresh steamed lobster, as well as dessert. On Oct. 18, Vancouver Farmers Markets is partnering with top farm-to-table chefs and local farms and producers to host Ripe 2015, its sixth annual harvest celebration. The evening features 10 tasting stations, each pairing one chef with a local producer. Participating chefs include Ned Bell (Yew Seafood), Chris Whittaker (Forage), Andrea Carlson (Burdock & Co.), Quang Dang (West), Jacob Deacon-Evans (Supermarine), and more. The Vancouver Sustenance Festival is back Oct. 13-25, with a series of events focused on food preservation, gardening, and food rights. On Oct. 29, the culinary apprentices of Fairmont Hotels in the Pacific Northwest will throw down the gauntlet at 10th annual Culinary Apprenticeship dinner. The young chefs’ culinary debut begins with a reception, wine wall and cocktails from the bartenders of each hotel, followed by a six-course dinner with wine pairings. On Nov. 2, Edible Canada will host its last Coast to Coast dinner for the calendar year, this time featuring the cuisine of New Brunswick with visiting chef Chris Aerni of Rossmount Inn.
