Meinhardt Fine Food has long been a destination for Europeans looking for a taste of home and travelers who want to revisit culinary adventures.

But just as we cant live in our past, a retail store cant stay there either. Meinhardts recently underwent a renovation and facelift that show off enhanced frozen and on-the-go hot sections, gourmet gluten-free options and rejigged v-shaped checkout area that makes waiting in line more convivial.

Last Wednesday, general manager Michael Meinhardt, whose mother Linda founded the store 18 years ago, also unveiled an array of new Meinhardt Artisan Collection products. They include caramelized pineapple frozen yogurt, cheese palmiers and twists, an porcini and asiago frozen pasta.

We need to give the customer a reason for coming here, he says of his quest to search out the best products from around the world. We like to think of ourselves as purveyors of culinary discoveries.
