GET YOUR GROOM ON: With leather couches, dark wood, televisions and beer (yes, you can have a brew while youre getting sheared), contemporary barbershop Male Essentials (817 Granville 604-681-1911 MyMaleEssentials.com ) was designed by men, for men.

GET YOUR GROOM ON: With leather couches, dark wood, televisions and beer (yes, you can have a brew while youre getting sheared), contemporary barbershop Male Essentials (817 Granville 604-681-1911 MyMaleEssentials.com) was designed by men, for men. Hair cuts ($25), hot towel shaves ($25, at left), groom (the marrying kind) packages and a whole bunch of free product samples (think: Billy Jealousy, Kent, Anthony Logistics) make it a welcome addition to the Granville strip. Wait, did we mention the beer situation?

HOLD THE CHEESE, DONT EAT THE TEES: Featuring fresh graphic tees designed by local artists and décor inspired by The Max (remember Saved by the Bell?), for the month of April, Vancouvers Hamburger Disco Clothing (HamburgerDisco.com) will be flippin t-shirts at the Rize pop-up shop (Kingsway at Broadway). Take a bite before its gone. (Is that slogan taken?)
