MAD MEN GOES BANANAS: Mad Men fans know theyll have to wait until 2012 before they can get their fix of Jon Hamm and Christina Hendricks inhabiting a mid-century modern Madison-Avenue universe. If you feel ready to take up their mantle (at least until those two impossibly attractive people return to fill our lonely Sunday nights), Banana Republic has teamed up with the shows award-winning costume designer, Janie Bryant, to create a limited-edition, Mad Men-inspired collection in stores and online Aug. 11. Knit sweaters, tailored suit separates, fitted trousers, and classic accessories including a money clip, cotton pocket squares, silk ties, tie bars and fedoras will be on hand for men. Womens pieces feature trench coats, tailored dresses, high-waisted skirts, silk tie-neck blouses and statement accessories, like print scarves and leopard print pumps.
