ICY HOT: Last week we mentioned the Vancouver Special, a particularly heinous fashion crime committed by female hockey fans who coordinate an oversized Canucks jersey with a pair of leggings. (No less visually offensive, the male version of the Vancouver Special consists of a pair of pleated-front Dockers paired with a polo-shirt. Shudder.) While little can be done to help the guys, designer Wendy Van Riesen, of local label Dahlia Drive, is offering Cup-crazy lady fans a whole new silhouette. Known for transforming pre-loved sheaths into one-of-a-kind dresses, Van Riesen hopes to score with her Playoff Slip ($150 from DahliaDrive.com), a slinky little number silkscreened in the Canuck colours of blue, green and white and featuring a cheeky hockey stick running down the spine. Or you could go the other route and stop shaving your legs à la playoff beard. Your choice.
