HOLY CROW! An impressive series (murder?) of three-dimensional paper crows created by Langara College Design Formation students (pictured) will be roosting in the windows of the Harry Rosen West Coast flagship in the Pacific Centre (700 West Georgia St.), Mar. 18-Apr. 8. Fashioned entirely from Harry Rosen packaging, the luxury menswear retailer was only too happy to put the flock on display. Head downtown and take a gander. You might as well have a peek at the new spring arrivals while youre at it.

SUSTAINABLE SHEEP: A manufacturer and retailer of merino wool outdoor apparel, Icebreakers has opened its second Canadian location at 2089 West 4th in Kitsilano. Using only pure merino wool from the Southern Alps of New Zealand, the company has become a champion for sustainable sheep rearing. Each Icebreaker garment comes with a unique baacode that lets a customer trace their purchase all the way back through the supply chain to the actual batch of wool it was made from.

CURVY CREATIONS: Bust out your bustier and savour an evening of fashion, fantasy and film at the Sucker Punch Ball on Thursday, Mar. 24 at the Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway). Local corsetière Melanie Talkington of Lace Embrace Atelier joins forces with local burlesque supporters Scout Boutique and TrunkShow by Misty Greer for a fashion show at 10pm, followed by a screening of Zach Synders new film Sucker Punch featuring corsets created by Lace Embrace at midnight. Corsets, costumes, pin-up and fantasy wear encouraged. Tickets: $18 advance from Lace Embrace (219 E. 16th) or from RioTheatre.ca. $20 at door.
