Join Vancouver Cycle Chic at Sugar Studios (1635 Powell) for a fashion show featuring locals such as Bhana Design clothing and Nocturnal Workshop backpacks. Enjoy dancing to the music of BIKES, #findpeter and City of Glass and video installations by Vancouver Cycle Chic and Secret Geometry, in between product demos by Opus Bicycles, Whoa! Go Natural at the PNE
Dont miss the Go Natural Fashion Show this weekend at the Vancouver Health Expo. From June 28 to 30, Go Natural will exhibit naturally made fabrics and contemporary styles made from hemp and bamboo daily between 1-2pm. Design showdown for imagine1day
The creative team at Pound & Grain Digital will be hosting the first-ever Gastown Design Showdown on June 27. This creative hackathon will bring 80 of Vancouvers most talented interactive graphic designers and user experience gurus in town together to participate in a one-day, peer-evaluated competition. All profits from this event will support imagine1day in its goal to ensure every child in Ethiopia receives quality education funded free of foreign aid by 2030. In addition to the creative challenge and the mini-workshops, participants can attend to two keynote presentations: Vancouver-based art director Jeremy Mendes whose most recent work with the National Film Board, Bear 71, has won every major international interactive award in the past year, along with Joni Rustulka, an exceptional San Francisco-based user experience designer at Adobe PhoneGap.
