TOPMAN introduces one of its largest denim offerings with a new campaign called This is Denim. The collection will be available at Hudson’s Bay. New styles include the Japanese-inspired wide-leg crop, and 1970s kick flare to the classic TOPMAN stretch skinny and menswear favourite standard fit, which has a more relaxed fit. Also new, the denim chino and dungarees. The denim comes in a range of washes, including dark indigo, coated cobalt blue, black, and a stone wash. To celebrate the new denim collection, Hudson’s Bay is holding an in-store contest providing customers the chance to win a year’s worth of denim. Stop by the store to between now and Oct. 31 to enter the draw. On Saturday, Oct. 3, shoppers at select Hudson’s Bay stores can spin the denim roulette wheel for a chance to win a free pair of denim from the collection or redeem a 20 per cent off voucher. New Harry Rosen
Canada’s Harry Rosen is unveiling its newly revitalized store at Pacific Centre which includes an expanded shoe shop with its own entrance, along with Tom Ford and Kiton shops – a first for Harry Rosen. The designer area has been completely rebuilt and now includes collections from Jil Sander and Costume National, and the store includes a spacious new section devoted to dress furnishings and accessories, new made-to-measure suits, a skincare and cosmetics bar, and more. Vancouver Fashion Week is underway and there is still a chance to catch many of the shows, including Jackson Rowe, Alex S. Yu, and James, Shravan Kumar. The shows are being held at Chinatown’s Chinese Cultural Centre, 50 East Pender and run until Oct. 4. VanFashionWeek.com/event/

Fashion Week vibes continue with local designers Evan Clayton, Sara Armstrong and Alex S. Yu. The designers are following up the debuts of their 2016 spring/summer collections with an exclusive three-day showroom event at Skylight Studios, 163 East Pender. The showroom will debut on Monday, Oct. 5, after the designers close Vancouver Fashion Week on Sunday, and will be open to the public until Wednesday, Oct. 7. Runway samples will be available made-to-order from the designers’ new collections and Vancouver fashion fans will be able to peruse their curated archival pieces.
