Four contestants will take to the Urban Fare Cooking Stage at the BC Home + Garden Show to determine Vancouvers top home chef.
The competition is called Chopping Block as a tip of the chefs white toque to Chopped on the Food Network. Hosted by Ned Bell on February 22, each competitor will have a set time to create something from a black box of ingredients supplied by Urban Fare.
Judges Vikram Vij, executive chef of Vijs and Rangoli (and a Food Network favourite), Ryan McDonald, Urban Fares executive chef, and 102.7 The Peak host Laurie Logan will whittle down the winners of each stage until theres only one. That person will receive a deluxe flightseeing and dining experience for four courtesy of Urban Fare and Helijet.
From now until February 16, fans of the Home & Garden Events Facebook page can vote on their favourite Urban Fare products to be used as the mystery ingredients.
If you think you have the chops to be a participant, sign up as a VIP at ThePeak.fm and tell them why.
