Chambar owners Nico and Karri Schuermans have announced the promotion of long-time staffer Tia Kambas to the newly created position of director of operations. Kambas, who began her career as a dishwasher at Chambar in 2004, worked her way through the kitchen ranks to the position of executive chef in 2010. The BC chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier will host their annual Summerdine event on Aug. 16, with all proceeds going to support the chapter’s outreach and scholarship programs.
