A 38-year-old Port Coquitlam man faces a number of charges after allegedly exposing himself to young girls and inviting them to touch him sexually in the Confederation Park and Burnaby Lake areas earlier this month.
On July 8, Burnaby RCMP responded to multiple reports of a man exposing himself to people, mostly young girls, according to police.
After identifying the man using images provided by the public and taken from CCTV, police set up surveillance on the man.
He was arrested Monday morning without incident.
“This investigation involved a number of resources at the detachment including our General Duty members, our Community Response Team and Burnaby RCMP’s Investigative Services,” Cpl. Michael Kalanj said in a press release. “These units worked diligently together to ensure this male was located, arrested and will now be held accountable for his alleged actions.”
The man now faces a number of charges, including indecent exposure and invitation to sexual touching.
