B.C. Ferries has added plenty of extra sailings for the upcoming Thanksgiving long weekend, including more than 80 on the Tsawwasssen-Swartz Bay route.

The Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay-Langdale routes will also have extra sailings.
The most popular travel times of the weekend are anticipated to be Thursday and Friday afternoons and Saturday morning for sailings from both Tsawwassen and Horseshoe Bay. The busiest day should be Monday for people travelling from Swartz Bay, Departure Bay and Langdale.
B.C. Ferries suggests vehicle reservations during the weekend.
Foot passengers are advised to arrive at their terminal 45 to 60 minutes before departure times. The Monday of the Thanksgiving long weekend is typically the most popular day of the year for foot passengers.
The company warns that parking lots at major terminals often fill quickly on long weekends, so people should consider taking public transit or getting dropped off. The public will be informed when parking lots are full via Twitter at @BCFerries.
