The best Canadian club curlers sweep and hurry hard all week to qualify for Saturday's Dominion Curling Club Championship at the Richmond Curling Club.
Ontario's men's and women's rinks were undefeated through Wednesday, both going 4-0 against the competition.
The best 14 men's and women's teams to qualify in each of the country's 13 provinces and territories, as well as a rink from Northern Ontario, compete this week in the third annual tournament sponsored by the Dominion insurance company. The event doubles as a fundraiser for the Canadian Paraplegic Association with money going to the provincial branch of the charity where the event is hosted. Last year, the CPA in Prince Edward Island benefited from $30,000.
British Columbia club curlers are represented by a women's rink from the Comox Valley and a men's foursome from Ashcroft.
The men's and women's finals are scheduled for 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Richmond Curling Club (5540 Hollybridge Way).
