After three wins in round robin play in PyeongChang, Vancouver police Const. Meghan Agosta and Team Canada’s women’s hockey team are heading straight to the semifinals.
The team clinched the top spot in Group A with a 2-1 win over its American rivals Wednesday night, sending the women straight to a semi-final matchup on Sunday.
A Vancouver police officer since 2014, Agosta is playing in her fourth Olympic Games, winning gold with the team in Torino in 2006, Vancouver in 2010 and Sochi in 2014. Agosta was named MVP in Vancouver in 2010 and was recently named assistant captain.
In three games, she has already notched two goals and an assist.
The department has been tweeting out support for the team.
