This Vancouver chocolaterie might owe its name to the scientific structure of chocolate and, indeed, its delightfully rich Easter eggs go straight to the place that addictions are born, but really, Beta5 is all about pleasure. The shell is made with a layer of white then dark chocolate, filled with "pebbles" sun-dried cherries, marcona almonds, Fraser Valley hazelnuts, pistachios, puffed cereals and house-made pretzel bites and then sprayed with coloured cocoa butter to resemble the real thing. Open on Good Friday. Also available at Dirty Apron, Walrus, Le Marche St.George, Room6 and Much and Little.$5 each, $25 for a half-dozen and $49 a dozen.
