Cycling plan sought

Biking around Stanley Park is not always the picnic one might assume, so the park board is creating a comprehensive cycling plan to improve conditions for all park users.

Biking around Stanley Park is not always the picnic one might assume, so the park board is creating a comprehensive cycling plan to improve conditions for all park users. Vision Vancouver park board commissioner Constance Barnes says the park board wants to create a cycling plan for Stanley Park that includes input from cyclists, pedestrians, moms and dads with strollers, inline skaters and anyone else who uses the park regularly. There are two locations for an open house taking place Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first location is on the plaza on the north side of Georgia Street near the underpass at Chilco Street, while the second takes place at the Ceperley Field playground near Second Beach Pool concession. Look for the tent and park board signs.
