Dracula's cape, the little mermaid's tail or a gory veil of a zombie bride - which Halloween costume will you wear for the 42nd James Cunningham Seawall Race? The race is Oct. 28, three days before Halloween, and hundreds of ghoulish and inventive participants dress for the occasion. The 9.5 kilometre race begins at 10 a.m. and the course starts and finishes at Second Beach in Stanley Park. The event is suited for runners and walkers. The top male and female racers in every age group beginning from U15 wins $300 for first, $200 for second and $100 for third. Online registration is closed, but you can register in person at the Denman Running Room (679 Denman St.) until Oct. 27 or on the day of the race at Second Beach.
