A fake Facebook page is causing confusion about the timing of this morning’s March For Our Lives.
An account started by a “Jane Dough” says the march for gun control is at noon.
The march is actually at 10 a.m. People are already starting to gather at Jack Poole Plaza as scheduled.
In a series of duelling posts, each page claims to be the official voice for the group of students joining the protest in cities across Canada and the United States.
Given the name Jane Dough — akin to the anonymous Jane Doe — and that the march on Washington begins at 1 p.m. Eastern time (10 a.m. Pacific), the Jane Dough Facebook page seems intent on diverting people away from the real Vancouver march.

The original Jane Dough account seems to originate from another fake bot that puts the time at 12 a.m. — clearly a wrong time. That post, under the heading "March for our Lives - Vancouver, BC" redirects people to the Jane Dough account.
