Fuel costs have risen once again in Metro Vancouver, breaking records that were just set late last week.
Prices at some Richmond stations were listed at 168.9 per litre on Friday, an increase of more than one cent overnight and up about five cents since last Thursday.
Dan McTeague, petroleum analyst with Gasbuddy.com, mentioned the increase to 168.9 on Twitter Wednesday.

Earlier this week, Richmond North Centre MLA Teresa Wat shared her frustration over gas prices on Twitter Monday morning, with a photo of a station posting the 164.9 record high price.
“When will we get a ‘relief’,” Wat tweeted, referencing Premier John Horgan’s comment that “some relief” will be considered for those who can’t afford the high prices.

When prices hit 163.9 on April 4, Horgan said his government will monitor prices at the pumps over the summer see if there is “an opportunity to have the province step in and help.”
While several Richmond gas stations are currently at that 168.9 rate, according to GasBuddy, some drivers may be able to fill up for as low as 146.9. Gas prices at various stations could continue to fluctuate throughout the day, however.
