Vancouver figureskater Mitchell Gordon is a junior Canadian champion.
The 15-year-old Kitsilano secondary student won gold this week in Moncton, N.B. at the 2012 Canadian Figure Skating Championships.
His combined score in the free skate and short program put him ahead of Peter OBrien and Joel Bond, both from Ontario.
Gordons win this month as a junior skater follows last years break-out success at the Canadian championships in Victoria where he won gold as a novice.
