Hooray for Hollywood North: the Granville Bridge will be fully closed to northbound traffic this weekend for filming.

The City of Vancouver announced Thursday that the closure would be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 9.

The closure affects the northbound lanes on the Granville Bridge from the Seymour off-ramp to Drake Street. Both lanes on the northbound Seymour off-ramp will be retained.

We also know that for the filming we can expect some flying shots done on the Saturday portion.

It’s a pretty intense weekend for traffic in Vancouver’s downtown core, thanks to the inaugural Skookum Festival in Stanley Park, and the riders heading north to the Sea-to-Sky for the Whistler Gran Fondo.

The City of Vancouver is reminding drivers who wish to head north into downtown to use the Burrard or Cambie bridges.
