Great walk for China

Hundreds of Lower Mainland residents will be hitting Stanley Park's seawall tomorrow (Sept.22) as part of the 6th Annual Walk the Wall event, an international fundraiser for abandoned and disabled children in China. The 10km hike, organized by International China Concern (ICC), takes place in over 35 cities in several countries around the world to raise awareness about the problem of child abandonment in China.

"We're very excited to have a walk taking place in Vancouver," said ICC Canada board chair Tony Bosch, board chair of ICC Canada. "It's one of three walks taking place in Canada, raising funds to give love, hope and opportunity for children in China who have been abandoned because they're disabled."

Participants meet at Lumberman's Arch beginning at 9 a.m. Visit walkthewall.org for more info.
