Homicide investigators are in Richmond after a body was found near the 16600 block of Dyke Road, close to No. 5 Road. The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Gregory Joseph Scuby, a resident of Richmond.
The death has been ruled a homicide.
Richmond RCMP were called to the area around 11 a.m. Thursday morning after a passerby came across the body of a man lying on a dirt road. The death appeared suspicious and the victim is well-known to police.
They have since turned the investigation over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, but will continue to work in partnership with them.
“I urge those with information about Mr. Scuby’s murder to come forward and speak with IHIT," said Cpl. Frank Jang of IHIT in a press release.
