It's not too late to celebrate International Women's Day, which is observed annually, March 8. The Stanley Park Nature House on Lost Lagoon is hosting an exhibit devoted to Canadian icon, poet and stage performer E. Pauline Johnson, March 10. Visitors will see historical photographs and other material relating to Johnson's life and death in our city from 1909 to 1913. They will learn why Johnson named the adjacent body of water Lost Lagoon. The exhibit falls on Johnson's birthday. The first three visitors will receive an original Johnson 1961 Canadian fivecent stamp commemorating the centennial of her birth. The Stanley Park Ecology Society and the Stanley Park History Group present the event, which runs from noon to 3 p.m. at the water's edge under the lagoon viewing plaza at the foot of Alberni Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own Johnson memorabilia, stories and a mug, for a free cup of tea. Admission is by donation.
