Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived at Vancouver city hall this morning and was greeted by Mayor Gregor Robertson, Police Chief Adam Palmer, Vancouver politicians including Coun. Raymond Louie, Coun. Andrea Reimer, Vancouver School Board chairman Mike Lombardi and Vancouver Park Board chairwoman Sarah Kirby-Yung, as well as First Nation leaders, Ian McKay of the Vancouver Economic Commission, the Fire Chief, and a crowd of about 500 onlookers who waited out in the rain for Trudeau to arrive. It’s the first visit of a sitting prime minister to city hall since Pierre Trudeau dropped by in 1973.
