Kitsilano Blue Demons and Lord Byng Grey Ghosts fight for No. 1 AAA Lower Mainland soccer prize

Championship game set for Tuesday at Memorial South Park

The Kitsilano Blue Demons and Lord Byng Grey Ghosts clash Nov. 6 to determine the regional champion and the No. 1 Lower Mainland seed for the senior boys AAA soccer provincials Nov. 22 to 24 in Burnaby. The game begins 3:30 p.m. at Memorial South Park.

One of those schools will take the championship and both advance to provincials, but four remaining Vancouver and Richmond schools will battle for the final prize: the third and last seat at the best-in-B.C. tournament.

(The Lower Mainland lost one berth to the Kootenays because of a registration error at Mount Baker secondary in Cranbrook, cutting this regions number of berths from four to three.)

On the other side of the draw, four school are still alive.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 3:30 p.m. Vancouver College and Richmonds McMath play at Hugh Boyd. At the same time, Point Grey hosts Eric Hamber.

The winners of both games meet Thursday, Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m. to play for third place and the final berth to provincials. The location has not yet been determined.
