A man is dead after what Vancouver police believe was a targeted shooting in Kitsilano Tuesday night.
Officers are investigating after a man was shot and killed near West Fourth Avenue and Burrard Street at around 8:30 p.m.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.
“It is still early in the investigation, but this appears to be a targeted shooting,” media relations officer Const. Jason Doucette said in a news release.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information about what happened, is asked to call VPD’s major crime section at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Officers have traffic restricted along Burrard Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
