Around 10:30 p.m. Monday night, police were called to the 500 block of West 27th Avenue near Cambie after receiving multiple calls of shots being fired. When police arrived, they found a silver vehicle on the sidewalk, and the driver had been shot. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The man was known to police, and the shooting appears to be targeted.
