A senior suffered minor injuries when she was assaulted in Courtenay on Tuesday.
Comox Valley RCMP were called to the area of Menzies Avenue and 3rd Street about 5:10 p.m. They said that thanks to the intervention of several witnesses, a 32-year-old Vancouver woman was arrested nearby.
The attack comes about a month after another senior, 89-year-old Bob Plumb, was attacked with a machete in downtown Courtenay. He continues to recover at home after a hospital stay.
No one has been arrested in the case.
