The Honda Celebration of Light fireworks festival will kick off Saturday, July 26, and will include an expanded SHOREfest lineup.
Juno-award-winning headliners The Sheepdogs will be joined by 54-40, The Odds, Spirit of the West, Hey Ocean! at the SHOREfest stage on English Bay. Check out the full line-up and schedule below.
The celebration of light is now in its 24th year and will feature competition from the USA on July 26, followed by France on Wednesday, July 30 and wrapping up with Japan on Saturday, Aug. 2.
Organizers have announced an all-ages licensed alcohol section in the YVR bleacher seat viewing area, where fans can enjoy a beer while reveling in the fireworks displays.
Also new this year is the Family Zone, presented by Clearly Contacts, complete with bouncy castles, children’s activities and daytime cultural entertainment both on the stage and on the grass will energize Sunset Beach from 2pm on Saturdays.
The Concord Pacific Seawall Challenge, an urban adventure across Concord’s master-planned community returns for its second year on July 26, awarding cash prizes totaling over $10,000 for participating teams and their schools. Visit www.concordsocial.ca to register.
