Two men and two women were arrested early this morning after shots were fired at Vancouver police officers from a home in East Vancouver.

At about 1:30 a.m., police learned that at least two men with firearms were seen entering a house near Sophia Street and East 51st Ave.

After police arrived at the property and tried to make contact with those insidem a man came out and allegedly fired a number of shots before going back inside. No one was injured.

The Vancouver Police Department’s emergency response team and negotiators arrested four people just before 4:30 a.m.

Major crime detectives have taken over the investigation. Police say the public is not at risk.
