A wildfire burning at the 17.5-mile area of Squamish Valley Road is growing.
As of Tuesday morning, the blaze was estimated at 15 hectares in size, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
Currently, 22 firefighters, one officer, and a helicopter are on scene, Dorthe Jacobson, with the Coastal Fire Service, told The Chief.
The fire started late Monday afternoon.
According to BC Wildfire Service, the blaze does not currently pose a threat to people or structures and is moving upslope, away from the valley.
No evacuation orders are in place.
However, smoke is expected to continue to impact the Sea to Sky throughout Tuesday.
A homeowner burning slash reportedly caused the fire, though an investigation is ongoing.
