An 18-year-old Vancouver man who allegedly carjacked a vehicle in Surrey, caused a hit-and-run with a police vehicle in Burnaby and then shot at another vehicle in Coquitlam three months ago faces a laundry list of charges.

After a joint investigation by RCMP in all three cities, Jeevan Johal Saepan has been charged with robbery using a prohibited firearm, unlawfully discharging a firearm, possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm, occupying a vehicle knowing a firearm is present, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a collision in relation to the Dec. 11 incidents.

"No one was hurt in this incident, but we appreciate that it could have been worse,” Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin said in a press release.

Saepan is well known to police, McLaughlin said.

He has been released with a number of conditions and is due back in court in Port Coquitlam on March 13.
