The Canadian Museum of Civilization will soon become the Canadian Museum of History, and representatives are heading across the country to seek input from Canadians on what they would like to see in their new national history museum.
The first stop will be this Friday, Nov. 9 in Vancouver, where, during a public panel discussion and round-table at the Vancouver Public Library, participants will be able to share their thoughts on the people, events and accomplishments that they feel have shaped our country. Members of the public can also suggest stories they would like to see in the museum, even if they never been in to visit it.
The museum will also be represented at the Antique Show and Sale at the Flea Market on Saturday, Nov.10 with an interactive station where people can drop by and chat or participate in activities.
The new exhibition gallery, which will be inaugurated in 2017, will present the national history of Canada and its people.
